The Challenge

Organizations across industries — from healthcare and education to finance and government — were facing a surge in AI-powered cyber threats. Deepfake voice calls, AI-generated phishing emails, and sophisticated social engineering attacks were bypassing traditional security training. Existing cybersecurity awareness programs relied on outdated slide decks that covered generic password hygiene but completely ignored emerging AI threats. Employees at all levels were the weakest link, and incident reports were climbing quarter over quarter.

The Approach

I designed an immersive, scenario-driven cybersecurity course that places employees inside realistic AI-threat simulations — teaching them to recognize, respond to, and report modern attacks.

Threat Landscape Research

Researched the latest AI-powered attack vectors: deepfake audio/video impersonation, AI-generated spear phishing, prompt injection attacks, AI-assisted social engineering, and synthetic identity fraud. Mapped each threat to real-world incident case studies.

Modular Curriculum Design

Structured 6 modules: AI Threat Landscape Overview, Recognizing AI-Generated Phishing, Deepfake Detection & Response, Social Engineering in the AI Era, Securing AI Tools in the Workplace, and Incident Reporting & Response Protocols.

Scenario-Based Simulations

Built branching scenarios in Articulate Rise where learners receive simulated AI-generated phishing emails, deepfake video calls from fake executives, and manipulated chat messages. Wrong decisions trigger realistic consequence chains showing data breach impacts.

Role-Specific Learning Paths

Created adaptive paths so the course works for any organization: general staff get foundational awareness, IT teams get technical response procedures, and leadership gets strategic risk briefings — all within the same course framework.

Assessment & Certification

Each module ends with a threat-identification quiz. The final assessment places learners in a simulated multi-stage attack scenario. Passing earns a Cyber Shield certification tracked via the organization's LMS.
